One of the true thought-leaders in foodservice, Alan
is well-known across the industry after having held executive positions
with leading companies across the supply chain. His stellar career
featured positions as President, General Foods USA; Chief Operating
Officer, Canteen Services; CEO, Comsource Distribution; and CEO
of UniPro Distribution, the largest foodservice distribution cooperative.
He is currently a founder and managing partner of BP Partners, providing
strategy consulting services to the industry. From an industry perspective,
Alan has served as Chairman of the Board for the Culinary Institute
of America, Vice Chairman of the International Foodservice Manufacturers
Association (IFMA), and Chairman of the National Coffee Association.
He has received numerous awards recognizing his contributions to
foodservice, including the “Industry Leader of the Year”
award from the Michigan State University School of Hospitality Business
and the “Trailblazer of the Year” award given by ID
