What is contract management? Is it the same as program management?
Contract management is an umbrella term that is often used to cover a variety of terms for the various ways a foodservice manufacturer enters
into business with operators and distributors. Foodservice terminology can be very different from one manufacturer to the next. In our
experience with manufacturers, we’ve found that some use the term “contracts" to mean any type of agreement they have with customers. Others say
“programs”, “deals”, “agreements”, “trade programs”, “promotions", etc. As it relates to our software and
marketing materials, “contracts” or “programs” can mean any one of the previously listed terms where you have some type of incentive
tied to their product purchases.
Does your software handle all of the above-listed terms?
Yes. No matter what you call your customer agreements at your company, if you have some type of agreement with an operator or distributor to sell them product with some type of pricing incentive, our
software can model that agreement.
What types of pricing incentives does your software handle?
It supports the modeling of rebates,
deviated billing, fixed pricing, formula and commodity pricing, distributor growth programs, off-invoice, and as well as many other program types.
Do I always have to create programs from scratch or can I copy an existing one and change the data?
You have several options when it comes to
creating programs. We enable you to create new ones by copying them and changing data, and we also let you create them from standard templates. So, if you
have five distributors that are going to have the same products and time frames for their growth programs, you can utilize a distributor growth program template
that contains the standard information for that program and then change any necessary data (e.g., growth rates) for each individual contract.
As a remote field sales user, do I only see customers that belong to my territory and their corresponding contracts? Yes. Based on user profiles
and security settings, each user will only see his or her customers and contracts. Managers will see all users within their own sales areas, also.
Am I able to do “what-if” scenarios for a program before I determine the correct incentive I want to offer?
Yes. Our solutions let you
enter pricing and estimated volume to calculate estimated profit margins to determine if your program falls within your company’s
standards.
As a user, how do I know if and when my contracts are expiring? Each user is provided with a user scorecard to let them
know which contracts are active, pending approvals, expiring, and expired.
Can I schedule reports to run when I want them to run?
Yes. You have the ability to schedule reports to run when they are most appropriate for your business whether that be weekly, monthly, quarterly,
etc.
What other verticals do you provide solutions for?
None. Our sole focus is on providing every-day business solutions for foodservice and foodservice manufacturers and not for other industries
such as retail, consumer packaged goods, and life sciences. Our strength lies in our foodservice experience and knowledge and our industry
is where our commitment lies.
What is your implementation time frame? Most implementations fall into the 90 day range.
